We are seeking a dedicated individual who will represent the field in teaching and applied research within an interdisciplinary environment that includes the discipline of Therapy Sciences. The candidate is also expected to demonstrate a willingness to establish and expand research and knowledge transfer activities, as well as to actively contribute to the further development of both on-campus and distance learning programs within the Department of Computer Science.
Courses are to be offered in German (language level C1) and if required also in English. In addition to a strong commitment to teaching, active participation in the university’s academic self-governance is expected. The state of Rhineland-Palatinate and Trier University of Applied Sciences support a supervision model that requires a high level of faculty presence at the university. As a department, we offer a professional, collegial, and supportive environment with ample opportunities to conduct applied research and transfer projects. For this professorship, we are looking for a dedicated individual who, following a university degree in computer science or a related field, has acquired extensive experience in a responsible position in the design, development, and implementation of digital systems in healthcare sector. This experience should now be passed on to our students through teaching and research.
In addition, outstanding achievements in the development and application of scientific knowledge and methods are expected in several of the following areas:
· Design and implementation of health information systems
· IT architectures for care, assistance, and information systems
· Analysis, modeling, and digitalization of care and organizational processes
· Implementation and evaluation of e-health applications
· Change management in the introduction of digital health applications
· Efficiency and resource management in digital healthcare
· Ethical aspects, data protection, and IT security in handling health data
· Analysis of health-related data for care and quality assurance
